Local elections shape everything in Brickell, from development and traffic to our parks. Register or update your address through the official Florida voter registration site.

You will need a Florida driver license or state ID and the last four digits of your Social Security number. If you still have an out-of-state license, complete the application online, then print, sign, and deliver it to the Miami-Dade Elections Department.

If you own your condo and it is your full-time home, the Homestead Exemption may lower your property taxes. Apply through the Miami-Dade Property Appraiser.

Brickell is one of Miami’s easiest neighborhoods to explore without a car. Many local rides are free.

Brickell has plenty of four-legged residents. Please pick up after your pup and place the bag in a trash can. It is a small way to keep shared sidewalks welcoming.

• 1814 Brickell Park: On Brickell Avenue, with a nearby trolley stop.
• Margaret Pace Park: A waterfront park in Edgewater.
• Bayfront Park Dog Park: A Downtown spot on the bay.
• Hobie Beach: A well-known dog-friendly beach on the Rickenbacker Causeway.

Key Biscayne is a short, scenic drive from Brickell and gives you two beautiful parks to explore.

• Crandon Park: Wide beaches, picnic areas, a nature center, and a mangrove boardwalk.
• Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park: Beach time, snorkeling, and the historic Cape Florida Lighthouse.

Pack your mask and fins, and head out early on weekends.

• Morning walks on The Underline: Start on the linear park and trail below the Metrorail, right in Brickell.
• Bike the Rickenbacker: Cross toward Key Biscayne for bay views and continue on the island’s paths.
• Downtown bike lanes: Explore the Downtown Miami bike network ↗ for more route ideas.

Give yourself time to look around and say hello to a neighbor.

All paces are welcome, and walkers are too.

• Brickell Run Club: Tuesdays at 7 PM, starting at 1300 Brickell Avenue. Routes average about 3.5 miles, change weekly, and sometimes end with a post-run social. New runners sign a waiver onsite. Check with the club before heading out.
