Miami-Dade County Leadership
Miami-Dade County is overseen by a County Mayor — currently Daniella Levine Cava.

City of Miami Leadership
The City of Miami has a ceremonial Mayor.
This means the Mayor represents the city publicly and provides vision and leadership, but does not run day-to-day operations.

Each commissioner represents a district (like District 2 – Damian Pardo and District 5 – Christine King).
Collectively, they form the City Commission, which is the decision-making body.
They vote on laws, zoning items, budgets, city policies, and major projects.

2. City Manager

The City Manager (Arthur Noriega) runs the day-to-day operations.
This is the true administrative leader of the City of Miami.
All departments report up through the Manager, not the Mayor.
