Board Room to the Storm Room 2026: Hurricane Preparedness Forum Recap

Now in its second year, the Board Room to the Storm Room Hurricane Preparedness Forum brought together residents, community leaders, emergency management professionals, and industry experts for an informative discussion focused on storm readiness, resiliency, and community safety ahead of hurricane season.

This year’s forum provided attendees with important updates on hurricane preparedness planning, flood mitigation strategies, insurance considerations, emergency response coordination, and post-storm recovery resources. Panelists shared practical guidance on protecting homes and businesses, understanding evacuation procedures, preparing emergency supply kits, and navigating insurance and restoration processes before and after a storm event.
