Traffic Advisory Closure 8/12-8/16 Due to Crane Jump
The City of Miami has granted a temporary Noise Waiver for construction work at 2200 Brickell Avenue (PW23000241RW) from Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 11:59 PM through Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 11:59 PM.
Schedule:
Crane #1: February 2025 – 3 consecutive days, 12-hour work shifts (8 hours dismantling plus setup/demobilization).
Crane #2: May 2025 – same schedule as above.
Nighttime Work: Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 11:59 PM through Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 11:59 PM for related crane operations. (No work on federal holidays.)
Reason:
Crane setup and removal of two tower cranes. All work will occur in the public right-of-way.
Traffic Advisory:
The west side of Brickell Avenue will be closed.
The east side will have one lane open going north and one lane open going south.
Notice to Residents:
It has been reported that notice of the waiver and work schedule was sent in July to nearby condominiums. However, we want to encourage a new system that notifies the broader community, not just those immediately adjacent to the property, since many residents who don’t live right next door are still impacted in their daily commutes. Timely and wider communication helps everyone better prepare for noise, traffic changes, and other disruptions.
The BHA strongly recommends that future waivers and construction notices be communicated earlier—with clear follow-up from the City of Miami departments involved—so that residents, associations, and businesses can plan accordingly and voice concerns in a timely manner.
