Our Brickell, Our Future: A Look Back at the BHA Membership Meeting
The Brickell Homeowners Association (BHA) extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for the BHA Membership Meeting at Mater Brickell Academy. It was an inspiring evening of community connection and thoughtful discussion about the developments shaping Brickell’s future.
We’re especially grateful to our event sponsors, Alliant Insurance Services and Hotwire Communications, for powering the conversation, supporting our mission to keep Brickell strong and connected, and treating guests to delicious crepes and coffee.
During the meeting, David Snow, Director of Planning for the City of Miami, shared updates on several upcoming projects and provided valuable insight into the city’s planning priorities. While not all projects were disclosed, residents engaged with thoughtful questions and dialogue around what’s ahead for our neighborhood. Melissa Tapanes Llahues, representing Babylon | Bay Racket Club, LLC, also presented information on the proposed development planned for the space adjacent to The Jade, offering residents a first look at the project’s vision and design considerations. The evening captured the essence of what BHA stands for: collaboration, communication, and community progress. Together, we’re shaping a future for Brickell that reflects the voices and values of its residents.
We were also joined by Roberto Blanch and Antonio Rocha, both instrumental leaders in bringing Mater Brickell Academy to our community. Their dedication to education and neighborhood growth was evident throughout the evening.
A special thank-you to Mater Brickell Academy for graciously hosting us, and to Principal Douglas Rodriguez and Assistant Principal Jenny Calante for their warm hospitality and partnership.
