Upgrades on the Miami Circle

Unbeknownst to some of its daily visitors, the Miami Circle is not only one of Miami’s most unique green spaces, but also a designated National Historic Landmark. The Circle, nested on a beautiful waterfront location with unbeatable bay views, is a cornerstone of our city’s heritage.

The State of Florida Division of Historical Resources is currently transforming the Circle into the Miami Circle Park, what they describe will be a greenspace oasis in the heart of Downtown Miami. This improvement project represents a large investment in preserving Miami’s cultural legacy for generations to come, and we all must contribute to keep it at its best.

The Miami Circle Park will be procured a landscaping and cleaning crew; however, it is the behavior of the local visitors what creates a long-lasting positive impact. This is particularly true for dog owners.

We urge those accompanied by their furry friends to kindly remember that the Circle is not a dog park, the damage caused by dogs urinating on the grass not only progresses at a rapid pace, but it is irreversible once it penetrates the ground in large volumes, killing the grass and ruining the looks and landscaping. Please refrain from walking your dog (or letting it loose) in the middle of the Circle. Leashing your pets and picking up after them are not only suggestions of proper behavior, but also the law.

The Brickell Homeowners Association along with neighbors, local representatives and authorities, will be conducting efforts of both education and enforcement to ensure the Circle maintains its new and improved looks for years.
